These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Miitas, a mobility and ride-request platform
operating across multiple states in Nigeria, including its mobile applications, website, and related services
(collectively, the "Platform").
By accessing or using Miitas, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use the
Platform.
1. ABOUT MIITAS
Miitas is a technology-enabled mobility platform that connects users (“Riders”) with available vehicles for transportation services. Rides may be fulfilled using:
- Electric Vehicles (EVs)
- Gasoline-powered vehicles
Miitas operates in multiple states across Nigeria and is not limited to a single city.
Miitas does not own or operate as a traditional transport company. It provides a digital platform to facilitate ride
requests, bookings, payments, and related services.
2. ELIGIBILITY
To use Miitas, you must:
- Be at least 18 years old
- Have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement
- Provide accurate, current, and complete registration information
Miitas reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that do not meet eligibility requirements.
3. ACCOUNT REGISTRATION & SECURITY
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials.
- You agree to notify Miitas immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.
- Miitas is not liable for losses arising from unauthorized account access caused by your failure to secure your credentials.
4. SERVICES OFFERED
Miitas enables users to:
- Request and book rides
- Choose between Electric and Gasoline ride categories
- View fare estimates before confirming rides
- Track rides in real time
- Make cashless payments through supported payment methods
Miitas may modify, suspend, or discontinue any feature or service at its discretion.
5. BOOKINGS, FARES & PAYMENTS
- Fares are calculated based on distance, time, ride category, vehicle type, and demand.
- Fare estimates are indicative and may change due to traffic, route changes, or waiting time.
- Payment must be completed using approved payment methods available on the Platform.
- Miitas may introduce promotional pricing, discounts, or surge pricing.
6. CANCELLATIONS & NO-SHOWS
- Riders may cancel a ride subject to applicable cancellation fees.
- Failure to show up at the pickup point may result in a no-show fee.
- Repeated cancellations or no-shows may lead to account suspension.
7. RIDER CONDUCT & SAFETY
Riders agree to:
- Behave respectfully toward drivers and vehicles
- Avoid illegal, unsafe, or abusive behavior
- Not damage or misuse vehicles
- Comply with all applicable laws and regulations
Miitas reserves the right to suspend or permanently ban users who violate safety or conduct rules.
8. VEHICLE TYPE DISCLAIMER
Miitas supports rides fulfilled by both electric and gasoline vehicles. Vehicle availability depends on location, demand, and operational considerations. Miitas does not guarantee the availability of a specific vehicle type at all times.
9. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
To the maximum extent permitted by Nigerian law:
- Miitas shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
- Miitas is not responsible for acts or omissions of drivers, riders, or third parties.
- Miitas does not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service.
10. TERMINATION
Miitas may suspend or terminate your account at any time if:
- You breach these Terms
- You misuse the Platform
- Required by law or regulatory authorities
You may stop using the Platform at any time.
11. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
All trademarks, logos, software, and content on the Platform are the property of Miitas or its licensors. You may not copy, modify, or distribute any part of the Platform without written consent.
12. PRIVACY
Your use of Miitas is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal data.
13. GOVERNING LAW & DISPUTE RESOLUTION
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
Any dispute arising from these Terms shall first be resolved through good-faith negotiation or mediation before resorting to litigation.
14. CHANGES TO THESE TERMS
Miitas may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
